Have you ever found yourself on the phone yelling “Talk to a human!!” at the automated voice on the other end? If you’ve dealt with any large corporation in the last decade or so, this scenario probably sounds familiar. Personally, I HATE navigating the maze of phone prompts just to talk to a person. I don’t particularly like making phone calls to start with, even less when I get stuck talking to a recording. So I found one of those cool life hacks that will help eliminate the problem. It’s a website called GetHuman.com and the best part is that it happens to be incredibly simple to use!
When you get to the site, you will see a simple search box. All you have to do is type in the name of a company you want to call and then use the magnifying glass to search. I used “American Airlines” for this example.
The company’s phone number & service hours will pop up along with a bold heading of Get to a live person fastest. Follow the instructions in that section to cut through the red tape of automated menu mazes and talk to human as quickly as possible.
That’s it! There is also an app version available for your iPhone if you prefer but I think it’s worth just opening your browser for this one. It really is that simple to do and will save you time for other things that are far more fun… like playing with the Kayak app and planning your next trip!
